Newton's cenotaph
Newton’s cenotaph
Gometric elevation.
Drawings in watercolor. 1784
Arquitect Etienne boullée
This proyect is my favorite arquitetural drawings. Is most
famous.
Boullée, like many members of his generation, was fascinated
by Newtonian physics. As fos his work, he perfectly illustrater the
caracteristics of architecture at the end of the xviii century.
This is a funeral monument.
The effect of the night is the results of hole drilled into
the vault that filler out natural light, giving the impression of star shining.
The effect of the day is created by a lamp placed in an armillary sphere
suspended in the center of the globe.
Emm, but the detail most important to me and because I love
this proyect is for the scale that created. This drawing have some persons that
used this space.
Sunk In a circular base and covered with cypresses. It’s beautiful
